OK CARE provides a series of health talks on various topics to different organizations including community centers, elderly centers, charitable organizations, non-profit making organizations, private companies, etc. during the year. Physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals provided health information to the public. The seminars are diversified and include fun activities for people of all ages and backgrounds.

On June 19, OK CARE and Central and Western District Elderly Community Centre organized a Walking Aids Workshop led by Physiotherapist Mr. Au Tai Ching. The event was designed to educate the public on the proper selection and utilization of walking aids, empowering individuals to improve their mobility and overall well-being. The workshop was held at the Central and Western District Elderly Community Centre and attracted a diverse audience. As an experienced physiotherapist, Mr. Au Tai Ching provided participants with a comprehensive overview of the various types of walking aids available, highlighting their unique features and the specific conditions they are intended to address. During the seminar, Mr. Au emphasized the importance of selecting the appropriate walking aid based on an individual's unique needs and physical abilities. He covered topics such as the proper fit and adjustment of walking aids, as well as the correct posture and technique for using them. Participants were given the opportunity to try out different walking aids, allowing them to gain hands-on experience and find the solution that best suited their requirements.

The Walking Aids Workshop was a resounding success, as it effectively raised awareness and provided practical knowledge to the attendees. Participants left the event with a better understanding of how walking aids can improve their quality of life and the confidence to incorporate them into their daily routines. OK CARE's commitment to promoting health and wellness through such educational initiatives is commendable, ensuring that the community has access to valuable healthcare resources.
