OK CARE provides a series of health talks on various topics to different organizations including community centers, elderly centers, charitable organizations, non-profit making organizations, private companies, etc. during the year. Physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals provided health information to the public. The seminars are diversified and include fun activities for people of all ages and backgrounds.
On July 20, Mr. Poon Tsz Long, Registered Physiotherapist of OK Care, organized a health seminar with EDPS Computer Systems Limited, a client of BCT Financial Services Limited, and thanked all participants for their enthusiastic participation and support. The seminar was not only full of professional knowledge, but also full of laughter and interaction. The physiotherapist explained the basic principles of ergonomics and introduced the common discomfort and pain problems of office workers. Next, the therapist conducted a demonstration on workstation setup and posture adjustment, showing how to correctly adjust the position of the chair, monitor, keyboard and mouse.
At the end of the seminar, each participant had an on-site health consultation with the physiotherapist to identify their problems in different parts of the body and how to take care of themselves. This included utilizing rehabilitation exercises and improving the ergonomics of the workstation, as well as correcting some common postural problems in the office. Participants came away with not only practical health knowledge, but also relief from their existing body aches and pains.
